Bunker Hill Golf Course and Event Center in Medina, Ohio, has undergone significant improvements to both its course and clubhouse facilities, reflecting a commitment to modernization, enhancing the guest experience, and fostering community engagement over the past few years.

New golf carts equipped with GPS and Bluetooth technology, as well as more comfortable seats, have been added. These features allow golfers to navigate the course more efficiently while enjoying a more interactive experience. GPS video flyover instant yardage directly to the pin. Bluetooth sound system for your phone to pair up for music enables personal music or audio to be played through the cart’s system, allowing it to be enjoyed without disturbing other golfers.

Cart Paths and Turf Management: The course replaced worn-out asphalt cart paths with brand-new concrete paths, greatly enhancing the flow and accessibility of the course. There have also been ongoing investments in advanced landscaping equipment, resulting in improved turf quality and a better overall golfing experience.

Irrigation and Drainage: The irrigation system has been continually upgraded, including the addition of double-row fairway sprinklers and improved drainage, which helps maintain the course in top condition year-round.

Renovation of Hole #7 — Penninsula Green, Par 5: Bunker Hill has maintained a culture of continuous improvement, with a focus on attention to detail and guest satisfaction. The leadership, including co-owner Steven Ross (since 2020), Chad Gibson, General Manager, and long-time superintendent Scott Brickley, has driven these enhancements, ensuring that the course and event center remain among the best in Medina County and Northeast Ohio.
Tee and Green Construction: Recent years have seen the construction of new tees and greens, including updates to the 18th hole, to provide a greater challenge and variety for golfers of all skill levels.
Renovation of Holes #9 and #18: In recent years, holes #9 and #18 received major renovations. The creek that previously crossed both fairways was redirected, making the holes more playable and rewarding for long, straight drives. The 18th hole, in particular, was transformed from a challenging and, at times, unfair hole into a highlight of the course, with a newly lowered and two-tiered green, a fairway extended up to the green, and the addition of four bunkers for strategic interest.

The new bar renovation is terrific. The smaller footprint allows more space for guests to dance and mingle. The revamped bar area has stone veneer and new vinyl flooring throughout the event room.

We loved the old deck, but we love the new event room even more — it’s fabulous. No more dodging raindrops or being too hot or cold. The expanded space allows guests to enjoy the course views in comfort. It provides more space for guests to dance and mingle, featuring panoramic windows, a pine ceiling, new lighting with fans, and new vinyl flooring throughout.
